Recently, Reddit user xPuffalooKiss asked, "What's something you accidentally saw that you definitely weren't meant to?" and some of these people stumbled onto truly shocking things. Here are 47 wild, heartbreaking, and near-unbelievable discoveries people made:

1. "I was bartending, and it was slow. I was putting away glasses by the only two people sitting at the bar. They seemed a new couple, very touchy, etc. At some point, I noticed that she was wearing a wedding ring and he was not. Right as the music died down between songs, he turned to her and said, 'You know, they're going to ask you where you were when he drowned.' Noped out of there real damn quick."
"This was five years ago now, but from what I remember, they definitely knew I heard them. I was like two feet away. I froze for a second and then turned and went straight into the kitchen. I was freaking out with the kitchen staff and trying to figure out what to do. When I came back out, they had paid cash and left. I debated calling the police, but had no other info besides what I thought I heard. I never heard anything about anyone drowning. I didn't keep it a secret, either; I have told this story a LOT. And this was a small town where people had nothing better to do than talk, so if there was a scandal, it was common knowledge what I had heard."
2. "I found my dad's will. I was on his computer while he was at work (actually searching for his porn) and ended up finding a strangely titled Word document. At first, it didn't seem like a big deal. It contained a note to each of his kids. It wasn't until I got to the last one, my youngest brother, that I realized it wasn't just a will. The start of that line read something along the lines of 'If anything is going to make me change my mind now, it's writing this part.' I realized I had found my dad's suicide note. I was about 14 or 15 at the time, and I had no idea how to go about talking to him about it."
"I decided to just keep it to myself. He started buying us gifts and stuff, and I would get really scared, but I still just kept it to myself. I remember one day on the weekend, I woke up in my bed to a loud bang coming from my dad's room. I lay there in bed for probably half an hour, frozen. Once I worked up the strength, I went to his room and opened the door.
He wasn't in the bedroom. I was so confused until I saw that the bedroom window was open. What had happened was that there was a gust and the wind had slammed the door shut, but my paranoid brain had heard a gunshot. After that, I was laughing hysterically, and I don't have much memory of the day that followed.
Shortly after this incident, my dad returned most of the gifts he had bought us kids, and I slowly started to believe that he had changed his mind. I never confronted him about it until last year, about 14 years or so later, but I never fully accepted that he was okay now.
I called him distraught about a separate matter, and he started talking to me about depression. He told me on his own about how he had considered taking his life, and went into detail about it, and all I could do was cry and tell him 'I know.' We talked a lot longer after that, and we were finally able to put it all to rest."
3. Similarly... "My father's work-in-progress suicide note, when I was 11. I was prodding around on the family computer and found it as a Word document. I added to it, telling him why he shouldn't and that I love him, etc. We talked back and forth in it, never spoke about it IRL, and nobody in my family ever found out. He's kicking strong 25 years on, and we're pretty tight now."
4. "As a child (12 or 13), I saw two of my parents' friends kissing in our kitchen at a party (a bunch of families having a BBQ/get-together). The people kissing were each married to other people, who were also at the party. They became very panicked. The guy was irate and forced me to drink a lot of red wine. I ended up getting pretty sick and had to be carried to bed. I told my parents the following day that I hadn't been sneaking their booze, that I was forced to drink it, and was essentially called a liar. Fast-forward about six years, and there was a massive split in that social group when they both began divorce proceedings, packed bags, and moved in together."
5. "I saw my neighbor and his friend murder his parents and put their bodies in the back of his friend's truck. They dumped them in a field. Thankfully, all involved were caught and sentenced. I remember vividly when a cop came to our door to talk to us about what happened (neighbor had broken into one of our trucks a few days prior and stolen my dad's guns). I adamantly denied knowing anything because 9-year-old me had seen way too many Walker, Texas Ranger episodes and knew that if you ever testified against a murderer, they always came back to kill you."
6. "As a teen, I'd poke around some of the many boxes of random stuff my borderline hoarder mom would collect over the years. I found a box of old photos and letters. Being a nosy teen, I opened one of the letters. It was written on a typewriter, which, as a teen in 2002, seemed like ancient technology, so I was already intrigued. Then I realized it was a letter my mom's parents wrote to my aunt back in 1982. My grandparents died when I was 6; this was a rare glimpse into their lives, so I kept reading. Anyway, turns out my older cousin is not, in fact, the biological child of my uncle."
"My aunt (mom's older sister) apparently got pregnant out of wedlock, and this letter from my grandparents was about how disappointed they were and what types of financial/emotional support they were willing to provide. I don't remember details, because it was at this point that my mom walked in and saw me reading the letter. I don't remember the details of that either, because I was flustered due to being caught, and she was flustered due to a family secret having been leaked. I have no idea if my cousin knows."
7. "The other day, I was looking for my old passport when I found a few of my Dad's old visitors' passports. Now, my Dad is older than most (he's 70 while I'm a teen), so imagine my surprise when, listed under 'children' in the passport, there's the name of a kid born in the 1970s. The name isn't on his later passports, so I guess I accidentally found out I have a (dead?) half-brother. :/"
8. "When I was in high school, my best friend's dad, who owned a supply store, allowed us to work a few hours a week in his store. One afternoon, I mistakenly thought I was scheduled to work and showed up. I walked to the back of the store to find my friend's dad, and to my shock and horror, there he stood, bare-assed, jeans around his knees, getting oral sex from some woman with long red hair. I snuck out then loudly asked where he was, hoping that he'd hear me and not suspect I'd already seen him. I told my friend what I saw. I toned it down, though, and said I just saw them kissing. I told her not to tell her mom."
"Mind you, this was my very best friend. I spent more time at their home than my own. We went on vacation together. Her dad was a father figure to me, as mine was gone a lot. My friend told her mom, but I was not yet aware that she had. About a week later, I drove to their house as usual, and when I walked inside, her parents told me they needed to speak with me privately — just the three of us. Her mom asked me if I had told her daughter that I'd seen her husband kiss another woman. I said yes. They looked at each other, and then she laid into me about lying and how it can destroy marriages and reputations, and asked me how I could ever want anything bad to come of their home life, etc. He didn't say a word. He just stood there nodding as she scolded me. Years later, while I was out of state for college, I learned that they were divorcing and that the woman he was leaving her for had long red hair. Imagine that."
9. "My brother and his girlfriend's sister making out on our couch while his girlfriend was asleep in the next room."
"As far as I know, she never found out, and I don't think anything else happened between them after that. I wasn't dumb enough to tell his girlfriend for fear my bro would string me up by my toes. My brother's a dick."
10. "I'm 33 now, but when I was, like, 12 years old, I remember seeing my stepdad at my aunt's house and found it incredibly weird for him to be there. After his passing and a decade later, I found out he was having an affair with my aunt, and my mom confronted my aunt (her sister). It was bonkers!"
11. "We were playing in the street at night when I was, like, 11–12 years old. A shady truck came down the road and stopped so that its window aligned with another truck's window. As a curious kid, I walked closer to get a better look and witnessed an illegal sale of high-power firearms. I just stood there for a second processing what I'd just seen and realized that the selling party was my neighbor, and I'm sure we made eye contact. My neighbor and his family suddenly disappeared, probably because they were dealing with some illegal shit. Guns are illegal in my country; any kind of gun. Even airsoft needs permissions for traveling through certain mediums."
12. "My husband's browser history. Nearly a hundred casual encounters ads on Craigslist spanning back years, up to the day before I found the link in his secret email. Apparently, it does not count as 'actual cheating' so long as you swear you never met anyone. (Sarcasm.)"
13. "I was working for a software company in NYC. I decided to come in really early, around 6 a.m., to catch up on some work. The executives all had glassed-in offices, and as I was coming in, I clearly saw my boss sitting across from another guy. I went over to say hi and noticed a brick of $100 bills wrapped in rubber bands on the desk between them. The other guy was clearly not happy that I'd seen it, and he left right away. My boss called me in and asked me to close the door. That's when I learned that his family was connected to organized crime."
14. "When I was 12-ish, two friends and I went to the local newsagent to get fresh breadrolls before school. As we were walking up to the shops, two cars came up in the car park. A guy got out of each car. They were talking and shouting; one guy shot the other guy three times, then got back in his car and drove off. He looked at us and smiled, saying something that I didn't catch. They were about 20 meters away from us. The '90s, man. Wild times. The cops asked us questions, but we had no clue. Apparently, the shooter guy got killed a few months later (gang-related, obviously)."
15. "I once walked into my dad's van while he was balls deep into a woman who was not my mom. Dad had a drinking problem. Mom took my brother and me to go looking for him because he was supposed to be buying Christmas presents. Found his van at a bar. Mom sent me to look inside the van to see if there were any presents. I looked back into the back and saw my dad's bare ass as he was plowing some chick. He turned over his shoulder and looked right at me and said in the most evil voice, 'Get out.' This was 20+ years ago now, and I still get emotional thinking about it. I still remember the entire thing so clearly."
"I walked back to the car with a blank look on my face. I might have been in shock. My mom asked if there were presents in the car, and I shook my head no. She asked me what was wrong, and I shook my head again. She got out and walked to the van.
She came back and asked me if my dad and the lady were just sitting in the van when I walked in, and I shook my head yes (I had no idea what I should have done in this situation). I guess they had dressed and were just sitting there at this point. She kept asking what I saw, and I just couldn't say anything. Then we drove home and never spoke about it again."
16. "I found out about my dad cheating at the age of 20. My mom had started working the night shift. My dad would be on his phone constantly. One night, he came home and talked to someone all the way through dinner. I don't know if he thought I couldn't hear his headphones or what. One evening, I went to use my parents' bathroom and saw my dad's phone open to a message. It said something along the lines of 'I miss you so much,' but it wasn't my mom's name. I'm the one who had to tell my mom. I had to hold her as she cried and had to face my dad when he came home."
"I thought he was going to hit me. I locked myself in my room for days. Only to come out when he was at work.
They stayed together... I never had the same relationship with my father. I went to therapy for months."
17. "This is a coworker's story, several months before I started at the company. The big boss came back from a site visit/weekend at his cabin (which was close to the site). He had someone burn all the photos from his camera onto a CD and make a couple of copies. One copy was with my coworker; he and another guy were looking at photos from the site. Suddenly, the photos from the site trip ended, and topless photos of the big boss's wife at their cabin appeared on the disc. But wait, there's a twist: Another copy of the same set of photos was currently on the boardroom PC, where the boss was showing them to the client. My coworker didn't know what to do, so they told our lead administrative assistant. She confidently marched into the boardroom and ejected the disc, interrupting the meeting. The boss asked, 'What are you doing?' She simply said, 'There's a problem with the disc,' and left."
"Yes, she's amazing, and no, she never got in trouble. She was the second employee that the boss hired when he started the company two decades ago. This event happened almost nine years ago now, and she's still an indispensable employee.
My coworker, who unexpectedly saw the boobs, never heard what happened after that. Nobody talked about it, and everyone just carried on like it never happened."
18. "My stepfather's porn stash, including pictures of him fucking his first cousin in the hotel where he and my mom had their wedding reception. Such a classy asshole! Was so glad (albeit disgusted) to find them so my mom could take them straight to the divorce attorney she'd hired two weeks previous when she caught him screwing the woman across the street. He was her drug dealer, too. It was the worst five years of my life while they were together."
19. "I'm a private nanny. I was watching a kid over the weekend so mom and dad could go out. I put the kid to bed and sat down in the living room. The book on the coffee table was How to Support Your Partner After an Affair, with highlighted sections, notes in the margins, and dog-eared pages. Which parent was the one to cheat will be a mystery that will plague me for the rest of my days."
20. "This happened when I was a kid. I thought I was about to watch the live-action Scooby-Doo on VHS, and it was, for a few minutes, until I learned my parents had taped over it with their intimate tape (let's just say). Scooby-Doo was my favorite movie as a kid. I haven't been able to watch it since, and my parents would ask me why I didn't want to watch it anymore. I never told them what I saw. I just put it back in the box and back on the shelf. My parents downsized years ago and gave all the VHS tapes to a thrift store. So it's possible this tape is still floating around somewhere in the world."
21. "Around 2000, I was working for a large business that makes telecom/networking equipment, managing an internal project. During the holidays, while everyone was out, I was still in the office (being an exempt employee). I encountered a problem and, while troubleshooting, noticed that there was some seriously high network usage happening across the switch, from one particular machine. I had a local administrator on all the machines in my department, so I logged on to this machine. 'Oh, hey, this guy is running LimeWire off his freakin' user-level account! That's not good; we're going to have to write this guy up. Let me just have a look at what pirated music and movies this…Oh, Jesus Christ.'"
"One of the functions of my job was to carry 'The BatPhone,' which had a direct line to an FBI office, because our corporation was pretty big on turning network intrusions into federal cases, and if the FBI wanted something, the FBI got it, warrant not required.
The guy had brought in a case of burned CDs full of child sexual abuse images and was distributing them off our network via LimeWire.
I missed dinner that night and had to keep what was happening from my wife for about a week before they finally arrested him, which put a strain on our relationship.
But that guy got sent off for a long time."
22. "Many years ago, I was sleeping in a bedroom that had a loft that looked out into the living room. At the time, my mother would always sleep on the couch. She must not have seen me, but I saw her pull a plate of drugs out from under the couch, and then she proceeded to inhale whatever was on the plate."
23. "I used to substitute teach. I saw a teacher's divorce papers on her desk. It was a fascinating read!"
24. "I was camping in a huge old palapa in Mexico, near the east side of the Sea of Cortez. I think it was near a town called Bahía Kino. On one side was a beach, and on the other was an old rough airway. The locals had told me it was dangerous out there, but I was young and dumb. I was lying in my sleeping bag when I saw a boat flashing a light at the shore. A guy I hadn't been aware of, standing 50 feet to my right, started flashing a light back at the boat. A truck drove onto the end of the runway, and several guys ran down and met the boat and ran back and forth between the boat and the runway. Five minutes later, a small plane landed, and they loaded and turned it around almost instantly. The boat headed back to sea, the plane flew away, and the truck raced off toward town."
"I lay awake the rest of the night thinking about how close to dying I had come."
25. "My parents worked at a prison when I was younger. My mom had left her BlackBerry on the counter, and one day I thought I would check it for some reason. Kids really didn't have phones back then, or at least I didn't. I opened the text messages, and there were two separate numbers, without contacts, that showed dick pics of two dudes in prison blues. I have never had a good relationship with my mom, but I lost whatever respect I had for her after that, because she has always acted like she was so much better than everyone, especially me (having a criminal past), and here she was, obviously committing a serious crime and having very questionable morals."
26. "I was a contractor in Afghanistan, working at Jalalabad Airfield (FOB Fenty). I woke up to take a piss and have a cigarette. On the other side of the runway, I saw a few helicopters take off, but didn't hear anything. I thought it was strange as the base was dead silent, but I didn't think too much about it. It was only later when I read the news that it was the SEAL team raid to kill bin Laden. Because of my pea-sized bladder, I was probably the first non-military or government person to see those stealth helicopters."
27. "One time when I was 13, I used my dad's computer login to work on a science project because I had forgotten my password. I accidentally closed a tab, and went into History to open it back up. While I was in there, I found Adam4Adam, a forum website called shybiguys.com, some gay porn videos, and recent Google searches for 'cheap apartments near [town],' etc. Surprise surprise, two months later, my parents announced their divorce, and about a month after that, I met my dad's new boyfriend."
28. "Alright, here it goes. I was in the seventh grade, so I was almost 12. I woke up in the middle of the night, and I heard my mom screaming. I jump up and get ready to defend my mom. I open my parents' bedroom door, and my mom is definitely not in trouble. My dad was taking her from behind. I didn't understand it at the time, but I wanted to get out of there before they noticed me. However, I fainted instead. That, my friends, is something I was definitely not supposed to see, and I was forever scarred. I'm 25 now, and my dad still likes to bring it up at Christmas dinner."
29. "In high school, I missed a test and had to come in at lunch one day to do it. I misread the date I had to come in and saw my teacher making out with a student. He said he'd give me a 100% on the test if I told nobody. I told the principal immediately, and he was fired."
30. "A while ago, my friend from work googled my name and found a really ugly photo of me. He sent it to everyone in a group chat, so in friendly retaliation, I googled his name, trying to find bad photos of him, too. The only photo was on the first search that came up, which ran alongside an article detailing how he was placed on the sex offender registry for eight years after being caught with 100 photos of child sexual abuse images."
31. "My first year of college, I walked into the kitchen area late at night, and my girlfriend was sitting on the counter...making out with one of my good friends. I just left quietly without them noticing and cut off all contact with both of them. So, pretty sure I wasn't supposed to see that. I saw them both together about 20 years later at Costco, so I guess it worked out for them."
"To answer some questions about leaving quietly, I was just in shock at first and most likely stoned (hence the late-night kitchen trip). I remember watching them for a minute and then just being like, 'Eh, fuck them' and leaving. It went from 'he is groping my girl' to 'look at these two shitty people I don't need in my life' real quick. And at the time, it seemed important not to give them a chance to spew excuses to me and feel better about it because it wouldn't matter what they said. And the longer I didn't talk to them, the more cathartic it became. If it happened to me today, I don't know I'd manage that. That said, it was a long time ago, and I hold no long-term ill feelings toward them. In the big picture of awful things people do to each other, it sucked, but lots of people have worse stuff done to them all the time, and I ended up with a pretty great life. My reaction when seeing they were still together was more like, 'Huh, would you look at that.'
We had the same friend group, so it got passed on to them pretty quickly that I saw them. Those friends had my back and also stopped hanging out with them, which was nice."
32. "I picked up my ex's iPad (shared, by the way), and when I entered the code to open it, it opened to a message thread where he was talking about how nervous he was to propose because he didn't think I was the one. He still did. I said yes despite knowing, but I broke off the engagement a year later. I should have dumped him long before the iPad incident."
33. "I was golfing with my mother's fiancé when he got a phone call. He had his cell volume turned up really high, and I overheard a woman who wasn't my mother say some things, including the phrase 'fuck and suck,' in a seductive manner. I convinced myself that it wasn't my business, or that I'd misunderstood, and dropped it. A few years later, her now-husband was revealed to be a serial cheater, with active partners numbering in the dozens."
"Yes, I still feel like shit. Yes, they're divorced."
34. "My boss was traveling, so he copied some of his files onto a shared server in case the team needed them while he was away. I was looking for some information and found a folder called 'team.' I opened it up and found all of our team's salaries, performance reviews, and his notes on each team member (including discussions with HR about firing someone). I quickly copied the folder onto my computer and deleted it from the shared folder so no one else would see it. Then I spent a good amount of time reading what he thought of each of us and using it to my advantage for the next few years."
35. "When I was in my early 20s, I delivered a pizza to a good friend from high school's mom and a random dude at his place. I spent a lot of time at their house in high school, and she was definitely freaked out by seeing me. The family was relatively wealthy and had a great big, nice house. I delivered this to a shithole house converted into a bunch of shittier apartments — pretty sure they were doing meth. I never told anyone who knew them, and I saw them over the Fourth this summer, and the mom and dad were still together. I've always wondered what exactly was going on that night."
36. "I asked my last boss for a raise as I was being underpaid by three dollars. She said, 'Of course, you are well deserving of a raise.' She later accidentally forwarded me an email stating to her boss that I did not deserve a raise at all, and that if anything, I need to be replaced."
"I'm now her boss. Victory."
37. "I found a letter that confirmed my mother was cheating on my dad, and that's why she moved away when we were kids. This was years later. It made sense, but it still sucked."
38. "Growing up with my little brother and single mom, we never had a lot, but she made sure we always had a safe and decent place to live, and there was always food on the table. She never really ate much; I remember dinners of baked chicken, beef stew, salmon (it was a lot cheaper a million years ago)...good food, nothing terribly extravagant, but always nutritious, yet she barely ever ate. When I was 10, I saw her eating peanut butter and jelly on crackers in her room after dinner. That's when I realized there was never enough food for all three of us. She would cook what we had for my brother and me, and she would eat the bare minimum, always out of sight, so that my brother and I wouldn't worry about the actual level of poverty we were at. I never asked for another material thing from her after that night."
39. "Many years ago, I worked a graveyard shift on a major network reality show as a tape librarian. One night, one of the producers came in with her camera woman and AC, all three of them white as ghosts. They handed me a tape and had me file it away for shipment to legal, with the instructions that absolutely no one be allowed to watch its contents. Well, that was way too juicy to pass up (especially working awful hours seven days a week for terrible pay), so as soon as 3 a.m. rolled around and I was the only one still on set (aside from the security guards), I kicked back and popped that sucker in. It was a video of a female contestant freaking out and repeatedly punching her boyfriend in the face until he bled. I get why it had to go to legal, especially since they were minors, but it was some grade-A Springer shit."
"Anyway, it was not mentioned or shown on the show, so I'm guessing legal said 'hell naw.'"
40. "When I was in college, I worked at an arcade/mini golf joint that seemed to give zero fucks about actually making money, but was never in any kind of financial trouble. When I got hired, the owner *literally* said, 'I pay minimum wage, and I expect to get minimum work for it.' I worked the front counter, collected money for the mini golf, and sold cups of coins. The till was completely busted and would be off by $50 or more in either direction, no matter what you did. I realized very quickly that I could just pretend to ring up golf fees and cups of tokens and pocket the cash, so I'd pocket $30–40 every shift, and nobody seemed to give a shit."
"Then one day I walked into the owner's office while his secretary was recording figures in the ledger. I can read upside down pretty well, and it was very obvious that the figures she was recording had fuck all to do with the business we were doing. We sold maybe $60 of golf fees a night, and maybe $100 in coin cups, but she was recording $600 and $1,000 for each. I commented on the discrepancy and quipped that someone would think we were in the laundry business, and she got *really* squirrely and told me to leave the office.
The next day, the owner called me into his office, and we had a very circumspect conversation about how much I was enjoying working there and the perks of the job, and I very much got the sense that he was trying to decide if I was going to tell anyone anything. Apparently, he decided I wasn't (and I wasn't), and so I kept working there.
About a year later, the owner was arrested for money laundering, and we all got fired. Still the best job I ever had. The mob is an A+ employer, would work in a fake business again."
41. "My grandmother dying. I was 7, and the phone rang, so I answered it. I walked into the back bedroom where my mother, aunt, and grandfather were standing around my grandmother's bed. When I walked in the room, I noticed her move her head like she was looking at something on the ceiling. Then I heard someone say, 'This is it...' I've heard my mother tell the story of the moment she died, and it's exactly what I witnessed. I've never told anyone. I'm 25 now."
42. "When I was in 12th grade, I had a friend whose girlfriend (let's call her Pam) had an older brother who was a substitute teacher at our school. One day, the three of us were hanging out, and I mentioned I'd recently lost my cellphone. 'Pam' ran upstairs to talk to her brother and came back down with an old flip phone of his that they (quite generously) said I could have. It wasn't until I got home later and charged it up that I realized it still had all her older brother's stuff on there: texts, pictures, contacts, etc. The amount of compromising stuff was genuinely staggering. There were naked pictures of both himself and various girlfriends, one of whom I didn't know at the time but ended up working with at a random restaurant job years later. There were multiple texts talking about students at my school, plus some stuff about doing coke with the older sister of another female classmate — stuff that absolutely could have gotten him fired."
"There were texts with his family members that contained things like Social Security numbers and banking information. His contact list contained personal phone numbers for several of my teachers and school administrators. There was a number saved in his phone as 'Dr. Feelgood,' who was clearly a drug dealer, whom he appeared to be calling almost every day. I had him as a sub again, maybe a week or two later, and it was awkward, to say the least."
43. "When I worked at a bank, this lady handed me her phone because she wasn't sure how to use the online app. She got several explicit messages from a man I assumed was her husband. I handed it back quickly, but she knew I saw them. A few minutes later, her husband walked in; his name was NOT the name she was receiving explicit messages from."
44. "I went to the HR guy to ask a question. When I got there, the safety guy was in there talking with the HR guy, totally normal work stuff. I waited outside the door until they were finished. At the end of the conversation, the safety guy said, 'Oh yeah, thanks for scoring me that blow last weekend, it was good shit.' He saw me as he walked out and said, 'Yeah, you heard that' in like an awkward tough guy way. That company was a year from closing its doors."
45. "An email from the managing director at the company I used to work for, to senior management, talking about getting rid of me and having a meeting to discuss my role, or alternatively, reducing my salary. I was super dedicated to my job and regularly worked late and weekends, etc. — there were no performance concerns, and he was clutching at straws trying to push me out. The guy was a downright bully and was defrauding the company by making purchases for himself through legit contracts and charging customers, buying himself and his family tech through the company account, booking luxurious holidays abroad through the company travel agent, and selling company goods for cash and pocketing it, etc."
"I immediately forwarded the email to my personal address before IT realized and shut down the server. I contacted my union rep and the MD's boss and informed them of the ongoing theft and his behavior toward myself and colleagues, etc., etc. A huge investigation was started, and he got sacked. I no longer work there, but the people who still do are so glad he's gone. He was a prick."
46. "A confidential email was sent to me by accident from my boss that was supposed to go to our company's lawyer regarding compensation for a coworker's promotion. I was friendly with this other woman, and in the name of sisterhood, I shared a few details with her that she never would have known about otherwise. They were trying to undercut her, although they had a much larger budget for the role. She knew what was at risk by my sharing the info with her, but I was looking out for a fellow woman in the workplace. Instead of keeping that under her hat, she used it to negotiate (knowing full well the boss would know where the info came from), and I got fired. I learned to keep my mouth shut, even though I was honestly just trying to look out for a colleague and didn't want her getting screwed. Instead, I got screwed."
47. And finally... "I walked in on my mom, dad, and stepmom having a threesome. Lots of alcohol that night. And lots of denial in the morning."
