There are a lot of questions about the Cincinnati Bengals entering next season, but one thing that nobody can question is how good Ja'Marr Chase is. Chase, undoubtedly a top-two wide receiver in the NFL, is hopeful that his star quarterback, Joe Burrow, will be healthy and be able to throw him the football every week.
The problem for the Bengals in recent years is that their defense hasn't been great and Burrow has dealt with far too many injuries.
What makes matters even crazier is that Chase has been as good as he is. He had 1,412 yards a season ago, including eight touchdowns.
In 2024, he was probably the best receiver in the NFL with 1,708 yards, 17 touchdowns, and averaged a ridiculous 100.5 yards per game.
To put it simply, he's definitely a record-breaking type of player, and according to his own words, that's what he's looking to do this year.
"Honestly, man, the only goal that I have for myself going forward is just to get 23 touchdowns. ... I want to break the record with that," Chase said while speaking with NFL Network, H/T Bleacher Report.
Chase later went on to say that his real goal is to win games and get better every day, but it's nice that he has some personal goals as he looks to accomplish something the NFL has never seen.
"That's not my full goal every day. My goal is to be better the next day than the last day. Try to get my team better than what they was the last day," he also shared.
