Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase shares bold record-breaking goal for 2026 season

The Cincinnati Bengals are heading into the 2026 NFL season with Joe Burrow, Tee Higgins, Ja'Marr Chase, and Chase Brown healthy with their new-look defense.

It's going to be an exciting season for the Bengals, and there's bound to be plenty of excitement for this team as the season begins later in September.

Chase is looking forward to the season as well and recently shared a very bold goal that he has for the 2026 season. As @NFL shared on Twitter/X, Chase's only goal for 2026 is to score 23 touchdowns, which would tie the all-time single-season record.

Chase's goal of 23 receiving touchdowns has only been done one other time in NFL history, by the Hall of Famer and NFL legend Randy Moss back in 2007 with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Reaching such a mark would be incredibly impressive and would be just the third time in NFL history that a receiver has caught at least 20 touchdowns in a season.

Chase himself had 17 touchdowns back in 2024, and could get to 20 touchdowns on a season, and it wouldn't be a massive shocker.

Of course, reaching 23 touchdowns to tie Moss's NFL record would be incredible. While Chase's goal wouldn't be to necessarily break the record, he could break the NFC record from Jerry Rice, who had 22 touchdown receptions in 1987.

He's obviously not going to ruin the team's chances to compete by pursuing such a record, as if he caught that many TDs in a season, the Bengals would surely be one of the best teams in football.

The Bengals WR has a real chance to tie Moss's record, even if it is an outlandish goal. Burrow is a great QB, and it wouldn't be a massive surprise if Chase puts together an all-time season in 2026.
