Everyone Talks About Split And Dubrovnik, But Rovinj Might Be Croatia’s Most Underrated Holiday Spot

Our base was Hotel Monte Mulini, an adults-only hotel overlooking Lone Bay. With Mediterranean gardens, pools, and the waterfront nearby, there’s plenty of encouragement to slow down. Rovinj’s old town is also within walking distance, so you can explore with no logistical stress.

The rooms and suites have balconies with sea views, giving you somewhere to sit with your morning coffee before deciding how ambitious you’re feeling. A walk into town? An afternoon by the pool? Both are perfectly acceptable answers.

Breakfast was part of our morning routine before heading out, and I’d leave proper time for it. When you’ve got a day of activities ahead, being able to ease into the morning makes a difference. Although on this trip, the next meal was rarely far away. (PS, don’t skip the pancakes. They’re sensational.)

There’s also the Art Wellness spa, with an indoor pool, saunas, and treatments available to book.
