Jalen Hurts was diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs and will now miss the remainder of the 2026 season for the Philadelphia Eagles.
After the news came out, there were plenty of questions about how the Eagles handled Hurts' blood clot situation, especially with reports indicating he had little to no sleep before playing in London in Week 5 while knowingly having a blood clot in his calf.
However, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Hurts' camp reportedly had no issues with how things went down, going as far as to praise Howie Roseman, specifically, for how this situation was handled.
Jalen Hurts' camp praises Howie Roseman for handling of blood clot situation
"Hurts' team considered Eagles GM Howie Roseman, specifically, 'exceptional' throughout the process when it came to Hurts' health, per a source," Fowler reports. "He was 'extremely hands-on' throughout and 'worried about Jalen's health more than anything else,' the source added."
This is a very noteworthy development in the Hurts' blood clot situation. The reason why? After some of the circumstances surrounding Hurts' situation were revealed, public backlash hit the Eagles hard.
Fans and even the media questioned why the Eagles even let him play in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Nick Sirianni was grilled by reporters during his Tuesday press conference about the situation as well.

But with this report from Fowler coming out on Wednesday, it seems that Hurts and his camp had no issues with how the Eagles, at the very least, general manager Howie Roseman, handled the situation.
It's obviously far from an ideal spot for the Eagles and Hurts to find themselves in, so in such unique circumstances, it's not a surprise the story coming out so far has been somewhat hard to believe.
But, with this report from Fowler, and how the Eagles and Hurts' agent Nicole Lynn shared a joint statement on Hurts' health, it seems there's no bad blood between Hurts and the team, unlike what some fans might've speculated amid such a tricky situation.
