People Are Begging Actors To Be Honest About What Their Onscreen Bodies Actually Look Like After Sandra Bullock Revealed What Was Done To Create One Of Her Most Iconic Film Looks

If you’ve watched Miss Congeniality, it perhaps won’t surprise you that Sandra Bullock’s iconic transformation scene has been described as “makeover of the century.”

If you needed a refresher, Sandra plays FBI agent Gracie Hart in the 2000 action/comedy, and the memorable scene in question sees her going from a pretty unpolished cop to a gorgeous pageant contestant.

During a recent appearance on Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast, Sandra reflected on the awkward reality of shooting the scene, revealing that there was far more to her Hervé Léger look than viewers might've realized.

When asked if she thought she looked “hot” filming the scene, Sandra was quick to reply, “No.”

“That whole dress is basically a walking Spanx,” she said elsewhere.

“I put on like two sets of Spanx. I had, you know, the little chicken cutlets? I had six of those,” she said, referring to foam or silicon inserts designed to add volume, shape, and cleavage to the chest.

“So much of what’s up there is not me,” she added.

Several people have since praised Sandra’s candid admission, while calling for other actors to be more honest about the work that goes into perfecting their onscreen bodies.

“Absolute queen for admitting it. We need more accountability and reality about what bodies actually look like,” one person said.

“Appreciate her for being real,” another person said, while someone else echoed, “Good on her for admitting it.”

“this is how so many of us frame up beauty standards. Not by what’s naturally occurring,” one user said in response to Sandra’s comments. “So this is how you managed to persuade women what beauty standards should be,” another person wrote.

“I’ll never see it the same,” one more user added.
