After dropping their first two games of the season, the Carolina Hurricanes have looked the part of defending Stanley Cup champion ever since, winning five in a row.
Tuesday, the last team to beat them, the Washington Capitals, pays another visit to Lenovo Center before the Canes head out on a tough road trip.
Washington handed Carolina its only regulation loss to date on Oct. 2, taking a 3-0 lead in the opening period on the way to a 5-2 triumph. Alex Tuch rather than Alex Ovechkin was the key factor in that one, scoring his first two goals with the Caps, but the Canes' attack has been rolling since that game and Carolina will look to continue that run Tuesday.
Carolina is averaging five goals per game during its winning streak, with the usual suspects leading the way. Sebastian Aho already has six goals and five assists this season, and Andrei Svechnikov sits just behind him in the points column with four goals and four assists.
The Canes would love to add one more win before heading out to play five road games in eight days beginning Saturday in Winnipeg. Here's all you need to know to watch as they face the Caps.
