Fox News host Jesse Watters turned heads on Wednesday during a discussion on The Five about men with deep voices.

The hosts were debating a study that claimed a deep voice makes a man seem tougher, not necessarily more attractive. But Watters wasn’t having any of it, and explained what he does when he hears a man with a deep voice.

“When I’m at a party, and I see a guy with a really deep voice, I don’t let Emma go anywhere near him,” Watters said, referring to his wife, Emma DiGiovine. “I get turned on when he talks like that.”

Watters then claimed that when he’s in a heated argument with co-host Jessica Tarlov, he simply lowers his vocal register and it “disarms” her.

“I don’t do that a lot, 'cause it's almost not fair that I can get my vocal register down that low. But I pull it out when I need it,” Watters said.

Scores of users on social media jumped at the opportunity to mock Watters over his comments:

That’s definitely one way to describe jealousy, A deep voice apparently comes with a serious security detail!

Isn’t this the guy who won’t eat soup or ice cream because it makes him have gay thoughts

I’ve said for years @JesseBWatters has been locked in the closet for far too long. Sounds like he has a thing for deep voices.

But he's totally not gay, right? I mean, there's not anything wrong with that but man...own up to it and quit pretending.
