The vice president’s speech took a turn. Again.

JD Vance was heckled by a man in a MAGA hat and suit standing directly behind him during a 2026 midterm campaign rally in Cincinnati on Wednesday.
The man suddenly removed his red hat and began shouting at the vice president. His exact comments were unclear, but he appeared to say “you suck” at least twice.
Security escorted the protester away as the crowd chanted, “USA, USA.”
After the audience calmed down, Vance sought to make political capital out of the interruption with a personal insult:
“Okay, ladies and gentlemen. Now, that guy, that guy, he was trying to pretend to be MAGA. Do you notice how he took off his Make America Great Again hat and threw it down? Here’s the problem, ladies and gentlemen. He told on himself. Because when he took that hat off, it was very obvious that he has not washed his hair in about three months. And we all know that the people who haven’t washed their hair in three months, they vote for Democrats, not for Republicans.”
During an event in Hendersonville, North Carolina, on Monday, a man stood up and shouted, “Release the Epstein files.”
After the heckler was removed, Vance joked that he was an undocumented immigrant, saying: “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m going to have to amend something I said earlier. I said that we have had zero illegal border crossings in the United States of America. But one isn’t bad, right?”
Donald Trump has also faced multiple hecklers during his campaign rally blitz ahead of next month’s midterm elections. On Wednesday, the president appeared to take great delight in a protester seemingly being attacked during his South Carolina rally.
