The 1-5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still in the race for the NFC South, but they desperately need a win in Week 7 when they face the 3-2 Carolina Panthers.
If they lose, the Buccaneers might as well give up on any hope of winning the division, let alone making the playoffs. So, it's all the more important that the Buccaneers get starting quarterback Baker Mayfield back this week.
Fortunately, the Buccaneers announced their Week 7 injury report for Wednesday's practice, and it revealed that Mayfield was a full participant, which is a strong indication he should be good to go for the Panthers game.
Baker Mayfield injury report is great news for Buccaneers
On the Buccaneers' Week 7 injury report, Mayfield, listed with a right thumb injury, was revealed to have been a "Full" participant.
While there is some bad news, like how Emeka Egbuka didn't participate due to a concussion and foot injury, and Bucky Irving was also a DNP due to an illness, the biggest news was that Mayfield is practicing in full.
This is about as good an update as the Buccaneers could've hoped for from Wednesday's practice prior to Week 7 against the Panthers.
Jalon Daniels has been a fun story, and he's not played too poorly either, beating the Dallas Cowboys in primetime for the team's lone win of the season; getting Mayfield back is a huge deal.

With the Buccaneers getting Mayfield in for a full participation on Wednesday, the signs are pointing towards the $165 million quarterback suiting up this week.
How he fares in Thursday's practice will be telling; if he's a full participant again, he's sure to start on Sunday.
But if a full day of work leads to his thumb being more of an issue the next day, then the Buccaneers might have a bit more doubt about Mayfield.
However, as of Wednesday afternoon, the Buccaneers could not have gotten better news than they did with their quarterback.
This injury report bodes well for Mayfield to start in Week 6, which would be a timely return for the veteran QB ahead of a huge matchup.
